I wrote a Eulogy for Pooh Bear in high school, this is much better than that, ha ha.. Supposedly, this director (Rob Chiu) has won awards at film festivals such as Edinburgh, OneDotZero and Resfest. Rob describes this work as a personal piece dealing with issues of regret, loss and the future. I personally think it’s beautiful.
While I was on the elliptical at the gym tonight, I decided to watch the T.V on my machine with my ear phones. “Friends” was on and it was a really funny episode, so I was laughing… a lot.. Do you think people were starring at me? ha ha.. I really don’t care, I got my daily dose of laughing in, and that’s all I care about.
My sister Amanda and I use to sing this song together a lot growing up. It puts a smile on my face every time I hear it
The house smells of pungent of spices and artificial apple.
How can a monster be afraid of a monster?
Wasn’t it just July??
I hope I don’t mess up at work tonight, and that people open their hearts and wallets to me.
Habits are as hard to break as Kanye Wests Pride.
Finding it funny that Scarlett refuses not to snuggle with me even though she can’t find a comfortable spot.
I love to snuggle.
It’s raining outside, but I don’t mind even though the bottoms of my jeans are wet, and I hate that.
I’ve realized that I have the power to change peoples moods. I deem happiness on you! AHAHAHAHA!
As I was beautifully decorating our Christmas tree yesterday, I dropped a miniature glass bulb on the floor. Before I could conjure up an appropriate curse word that I could say in front of the children, I noticed that the bulb had broken, and it left a shape of a heart in the center. The funny thing is, I have been waiting for this moment my whole life. I always thought it would be the coolest thing to drop something, that in every normal situation completely shatters when dropped, but find instead that it leaves a shape of a heart. A heart, something so breakable, found whole in something broken. I’m sure I could pull something very symbolic about this situation, I would just need to put my romantic thinking cap on. And, it’s in the wash right now.
I love how there is an up-side-down heart in the back of the bulb
Recently I’ve decided to get back into creative writing/poetry again. I can’t say that I ever was that wonderful at it, but hey I loved it, quite it and really shouldn’t have. Kind of like art. I think I might have even thrown away all of my poems I had written from my younger years. So the book below is what I am reading to help get the creative juices flowing. It’s a guide for student poets. So far I Love it, but am intimidated by some of the exercises. I did a pretty easy one today, and I have to say it felt good working with words again. My mind appreciated it.
“For the poet takes bare fact and clothes it with meaning. The poet hears the roar on the other side of silence”
So being mostly vegetarian, you could probably guess that the average Thanksgiving dinner is a little hard to swallow for me. I of course politely eat it when served, but I have to say my taste buds prefer food that has a lot of flavor, but with out the heaviness that Thanksgiving dishes provide. I don’t like the feeling of being full. It makes me tired, and I also feel like I have to run an extra 50 minutes to burn it all off the next day. Quite frankly I’d rather have pizza than Turkey. I’m all for indulging a bit during the holiday season, it’s just that my indulgences come from well.. other things
So I found this site that helped me out with my, no turkey turkey please dilemma.
Pumpkin Tortilla Soup can be enjoyed any time of the year but is especially handy at Thanksgiving with all that leftover pumpkin from Halloween. Contrary to what you might think, this tortilla soup is very filling and nourishing even though it doesn’t have any meat or even soy protein. You can use the tortilla for garnish or actually cook it into the soup.
Bursting with flavor and clearly Oprah-approved, this rich and cheesy Vegetarian Lasagna will make all your friends happy, vegetarian or not. Once you’re done preparing the lasagna, garnish it with fresh basil leaves (or other fresh herbs) and let it sit for 20 minutes before serving. Lasagna has become a Thanksgiving staple in many homes. After you try this recipe, you’ll know why.
Hearty Vegetarian Stuffed Peppers are a great compliment to any entree and can be a great ‘little something’ to take over to someone’s place even if you don’t know what the host is preparing. Lentils are a good option here because they are both tasty and provide a good meaty and filling alternative to meat.
If you still have some pumpkin remaining after the pumpkin tortilla soup, try out this wonderful Spiced Pumpkin Cheesecake recipe. Be sure to keep all ingredients at room temperature before cooking and dip your knife in a glass of hot water (the hotter the better) before cutting slices and serving. Don’t forget to top it off with some whipped cream.
So Avril is very excited for Christmas. I have been looking forward to the day that she would be old enough for me to explain Christmas to her, and get her excited about all of the fun things involved with it. Avril has a lot of passion in her. She’s is not afraid of people either. Taking her to the park is interesting, as she has absolutely no problem asking strange men to push her on the swing. The first thing she does is ask them what their name is. Surprisingly this makes most people uncomfortable, and they sometimes don’t even answer her. This makes her more persistent in her attempt at retrieving a name though, and so I have to ask her to relent. Avril is such a breath of fresh air, I love her for that. She is her own person, and she knows what she wants, and is confident in her decisions. She’s almost four years old and I swear she is smarter than me. Her and I have very different personalities from one another, but we are very much connected body and soul. She senses things from me, and feeds off of my energy. It’s almost eerie. Anyone would be blessed to know Avril. She’s one in a million. I can’t wait to see what amazing man gets this girl. I just pray God gives me the wisdom to train her right. I really love this person!
Ok, I’m always such a downer, so I’ll post a fun video. I’m sorry, it’s just what do you expect, I’m made up of about 85% emo. I’ve tried the whole written journal thing. bleh! Never kept it up. ‘becca you always encouraged me to keep it up, but I just can’t. Yes, I have this blog, but people read it, and people are judgmental. So I have to keep things very clean.. I guess that would be the right word, ha ha. Hey, but don’t think I’m always gray skies. I can be the most fantastic ray of freak’n sunshine you will ever meet sometimes!!.. Just not today. I am having a bad day
So for the sake of not inducing a bad day on others I will digress… So how about that video?
